Wer sich an diesem Automaten am Flughafen Palma eine kleine Erfrischung ziehen möchte, wird leider bitter enttäuscht werden. Denn in den Dosen der Firma Shaire ist buchstäblich nichts – zumindest keine feste Materie. Stattdessen enthalten die Dosen Luft. Allerdings sind die kleinen Blechzylinder nicht dafür gedacht, Menschen mit Atemnot zu helfen, sondern einfach ein Souvenir. Wer also einem lieben Menschen etwas mallorquinische Mittelmeer-Luft aus seinem Urlaub mitbringen möchte, kann sie hier in handlichen und dekorierten Dosen erwerben.

Das mehr oder weniger skurrile Vergnügen kostet je Dose 3,50 Euro. Für ein Souvenir mag das nicht viel sein; für ein bisschen abgefüllte irdische Atmosphäre ist das jedoch ein stolzer Preis. Denn immerhin wird auf Mallorca bisher noch keine Gebühr für’s bloße Atmen verlangt. Letztendlich handelt es sich bei diesem Produkt um einen ausgefallenen Zug des Marketings des Hersteller. Ziel dieser Aktion ist es, ein Souvenir zu schaffen, das sich von den herkömmlichen Mitbringseln deutlich unterscheidet.
Der Deal: Je Dose eine Portion Luft und ein QR-Code
Neben der Mittelmeer-Luft erhält der Kunde eine bedruckte Dose, die je ein typisches Motiv der Insel zeigt. Zudem ist auf der Dose ein QR-Code aufgedruckt, der, wenn er eingescannt wird, weitere Informationen auf dem Smartphone bereitstellt.
