Auch auf Mallorca gelten sehr strenge Regeln für das Mitführen und den Besitz von Schusswaffen. Eine Erhebung, die unter anderem von der Guardia Civil gemacht wurde, gibt nun Aufschluss über die Anzahl der registrierten Schusswaffen.
Wer auf Mallorca eine Schusswaffe besitzen möchte, ist an die Beachtung der strengen Regulierungen gebunden. Erlaubt ist der Umgang damit nur dann, wenn eine theoretische und eine praktische Prüfung abgelegt und bestanden wurde. Zudem ist die Erlaubnis an den Verwendungszweck gekoppelt. So gehen die meisten Waffen auf das Konto von Sportschützen und Jägern. Aber auch Arbeitnehmer in der Sicherheitsbranche dürfen mit dem entsprechenden Waffenschein eine nicht-automatische Waffe besitzen. Andere Berufsgruppen, denen dies erlaubt ist, sind zum Beispiel Juweliere und Mitarbeiter aus dem Justiz-Wesen.
35.157 Personen haben einen Waffenschein auf Mallorca
Die mehr als 85.000 Schusswaffen verteilen sich auf 35.157 Personen, die im Besitz eines Waffenscheins sind. Für die Berechtigung des Besitzes ist alle fünf Jahre eine erneute Prüfung abzulegen. Ab einem Alter von 67 Jahren muss der Schütze außerdem alle drei Jahre ein ärztliches Attest vorlegen, das bestätigt, dass eine Tauglichkeit besteht.
Keine automatischen Waffen erlaubt
Auf Mallorca fallen automatische Waffen unter das Kriegswaffengesetz. Damit ist es lediglich dem Militär und der Polizei erlaubt, diese Waffen in Ausübung ihrer Tätigkeit anzuwenden. Für andere Berufe, in denen der Besitz einer Waffe erlaubt ist gilt, dass nur kleinkalibrige Modelle in Frage kommen.
